בסוף שנת 2003 יצא לאור משחק הפעולה המעולה שהחזיר לחיים כותר שרבים חשבו שזמנו עבר. המשחק נקרא "הנסיך הפרסי: חולות הזמן" ובו שיחקתם נסיך אשר מסתבך בעלילה של גורל, זמן, קללות ופנטזיה. במשחק ההמשך שלו, תחזרו לנעליו של הנסיך הפרסי כעבור חמש שנים בערך לאחר מאורעות המשחק הראשון. הנסיך מחפש כפרה כלשהי, אולי על אירועי המשחק הראשון, אשר למעשה לא קרו... או שמה? נרדף ע"י דאהאקה, התגלמות בת-אלמוות של הגורל המחפשת נקמה שמיימית, הנסיך יצטרך לצאת למסע אל לב ממלכה אפלה שבתוכה חבויים הפחדים הגדולים ביותר של האנושות.

המשחק ממשיך את ההנאה הרבה שנתן המשחק הראשון עם תיקוני בעיות קטנות שהפריעו בקודמו. המשחק מציע אינטליגנציה מלאכותית ברמה גבוהה יותר ומהלכי קרב מעניינים יותר. תוכלו כעת לרוץ על גבם של אויבים גדולים במיוחד או להשתמש במהלך האחיזה החדש. נווטו את הנסיך שלכם מאחורי היריב כדי שתוכלו לתפוס אותו. כעת תוכלו להטילו, לקצוץ אותו, ולהשתמש בו כמגן אנושי או כקרש ניתור לקפיצות מרשימות ביותר. על אף שפיגיון הזמן כבר לא ברשותו, הנסיך עדיין מסוגל להשתמש בכמה כוחות על-טבעיים כגון החזרת הזמן אחורה או האטת הזמן. מספר מהלכי פלטפורמה חדשים הוספו על מנת לגוון עוד יותר בפאזלים שתיתקלו במשחק ואפילו תוכלו להשתמש בחלק מהמהלכים המרהיבים נגד אויבים. המשחק מומלץ מאוד לכולם, גם אלה שאהבו את הראשון, גם אלה שלא אהבו אותו, וגם אלה שעדיין (ומשום מה) לא מכירים אותו.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is an excellent sequel to a game that caught many by surprise last year. Those who enjoy navigating through beautifully designed levels, complete with clever puzzles and traps, will definitely get their fill of them here. Moreover, the combat has improved greatly, although it's still not the principle strength of the game. However, those who primarily enjoyed last year's The Sands of Time for its original charm and subtle character development may not find quite what they're looking for in this sequel. But even with this caveat, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is easy to recommend for any action adventure fan, and its lengthier campaign should keep players busy for a lot longer this time around.
